It's not just an instrument.
It's a new way of making music
Rekithara is a company dedicated to creating musical instruments and accessories made from recycled materials. It is born from the union of traditional craftsmanship and new technologies, where innovation, design, and sustainability come together.

Circular economy and authentic recycling:
At Rekithara, we apply a circular economy model based on authentic plastic recycling and upcycling, where every stage of the process is designed to maintain or increase material value and preserve its life cycle.
Upcycling means transforming recovered materials into new products of higher value or functionality, extending their use without degrading their physical properties.

Plastic Recovery and Revalorization:
The process begins with the collection and classification of recovered plastics, mainly ABS, PP, and cellulose acetate, which are separated by type, color, and density.
Each material is then cleaned, shredded, and fused under controlled temperature and pressure, preserving chemical compatibility and thermal stability.
As a result, the material is not compacted or sent to final disposal, but reintroduced into a sustainable production cycle, with full traceability and the ability to be recycled again in the future.
This approach reflects a true technical and environmental commitment, ensuring that each instrument responsibly integrates recovered materials that remain part of an active circular value chain.
